Explanation

The Indian Road Congress (IRC) was set up in January, 1934. The main goal of the Indian Road Congress is to promote the development and maintenance of roads, highways, and transportation infrastructure in India, and to encourage the exchange of information and ideas among road engineers and other transportation professionals.

It also provides guidelines and standards for the design, construction and maintenance of roads and other transportation infrastructure in India. The IRC works closely with various government agencies and departments, as well as with private sector organizations, to promote the development of a safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation system in India.
